How far along am I: 16 Weeks & 2 Days today (wow can’t believe how fast this is flying by!!)

How I’m feeling: I’m still pretty tired, but not sick at all and super excited about all the new things I’m exploring. I’m only gaining weight in my tummy and boobs (yay, so happy about this) and I really feel great aside from the exhaustion.

What I’m listening to: Just my iPod on shuffle, I haven’t downloaded any new music lately but I’m thinking I need to get on that to keep myself up to date! I'm really liking anything upbeat right now!

What I’m watching: NCIS, Bones, Grey’s Anatomy and Til Debt Do Us Part

What I’m craving: Lots of salty things, bacon, mint chocolate chip ice cream and baby carrots with peppercorn ranch dipping sauce!

What I’m reading: My pregnancy books, a baby name book, re-reading the Harry Potter Books and I want to start reading The Help.

What I’m wearing: Anything maternity, the pants are so much more comfortable, and now that I have a cute little baby bump :) I need much more room. Lots of leggings too! And they make some super cute maternity clothes now. I can't wait until they come out with their spring/summer clothes and I can get some cute dresses!!

What I’m feeling: I started feeling little movements on February 3!! What an awesome birthday present! It is such a neat feeling, like little flutters or bubbles on the inside of my tummy. It totally makes this pregnancy that much more real to me :)

What I’m wanting: For February 23 to hurry up and get here! I can’t wait to see our baby for the first time!!!!!

What I’m needing: I’m needing our basement to be done! We are just about done dry walling and we have a guy coming this Saturday to start taping, mudding and sanding! YAY That means that by March (at the latest) we will be painting. Well I won’t be painting but everyone else will! The ultimate goal is to have the house listed by April 15th at the latest! And then we can start looking for our perfect 2nd house!

What I’m wishing: That we could somehow find a way to go on a Babymoon in April. If we can swing it I was hoping to go to San Francisco for 4 or 5 days! But I know with saving for a baby and spending all the extra money finishing the basement it just might not be possible.

What I’m thinking: I’ve been thinking more and more lately that during this time in my life I really am finding out what and who is important to me and how important I am to other people and where exactly I stand. I am excited for these changes in our lives but know that some things and relationships will change because of this. I’m okay with that :)

What I’m wondering: If baby Kurtz is a girl or a boy, and still wanting to confirm if it is only one baby or if there is two in there! Soon, very soon! My personal hope is for a girl!! But of course I would be happy either way. :)

New & Exciting Things are Coming!!!

Well 2012 is already here (as a matter of fact we are already 20 days into 2012)! I can tell that this year is going to go fast. 2012's resolution/goal is to 'get organized'! We will see how that goes....

We are so super excited to announce that we are expecting our first baby in July!!!! I am 13 weeks 4 days right now and we had our first prenatal appointment today. We got to hear our baby's heartbeat!!! What an amazing sound....makes my heart skip a beat :) I LOVE IT, and as a matter of fact I love being pregnant! I really haven't been sick, but my energy level has been super low. That has been a bit frustrating, but I've been told that will come back! I'm already getting a baby bump and I can't wait until I really start to show. We also can't wait until our first ultrasound which is February 23!! I can't wait to see our baby, and maybe find out if it is a girl or a boy! :)

There are so many new things we are learning about....cloth diapering, labour preparations, all the accessories and essentials that a baby needs (who knew that one (or two) little person could need so much stuff?!?) and all the changes my body is and will be going through! It's a lot, but it's exciting!

I really am going to try to give this blog some of my attention, but I'm not promising anything. It might be a couple days, weeks or months between posts, but you know what, thats okay! Life happens. Between the last post and this one we lost 2 grandpas, my sister got married, we went on a wonderful vacation, my first nephew was born and we spent lots of time with family and friends. It is more important for me to enjoy the moments that we have with people, but if I get a spare couple of minutes to write a post and maybe put up a couple of pictures, then great :)

I've been a bad blogger :(

I just have not seemed to have any time to blog lately.

Between working in the basement, trying to keep the house clean, organizing and getting Josh ready for his final intereviews, visiting Josh's Grandpa in the hospital in Calgary and then constantly worrying every time the phone rings :( , with Jocelyn and Jared home this week and all the visiting and wedding planning that comes with that and being sick for what seems like the past 3 or 4 weeks I just have not had any time to blog. :(

Maybe this weekend, here's hoping that I get a chance to upload all those photos on my camera and write down my thoughts.

S is for Scrapbooking

I SCRAPBOOKED!!!!

I had gone out and bought all this exciting stuff from my birthday money and I wasn't going to just let it and all my other stuff sit around any longer....and I have really been wanting to finish our Vacation 2005 album.  When I was thinking of doing these Mexico pages I was looking through all my paper and I thought that the reds and browns would be perfect for it! I really love how it turned out!! Simple yet fun!

Journalling at the bottom of the first page says: 10am tequila + shopping + cigars + local food and music = awesome day!

And I have been working on another 'project' but since that project is a secret I am only going to share one picture and it really doesn't give anything away!! This is all you get!

I'm hoping to get some more scrapbooking done this long weekend, I only have 3 more pages to finish this album! Hopefully I can get that all done so I can start on my next album! :) YAY for long weekends!

Champagne and Cupcakes!

Our Valentine's Day this year we decided would be very laid back....no cards....no gifts....and no going out for supper! If we are going to spend money on something we will spend it on our next Caribbean vacation!

Since Valentines Day was on a Monday this year, I had Pilates class to go to. So me and Josh met up at Sarah and Mike's house for supper....very yummy salmon and rice! Then me and Sarah went to Pilates. It was a really great class, I've been enjoying this whole process! After Pilates I made my way home to see my wonderful hubby! We ate the cupcakes that I had gotten at Edible Elegance (omg so delicious!) and drank an entire bottle of champagne! And of course took some photos! :) All in all a great Valentines Day and it didn't cost very much at all!

This man is definately my sweetheart and soulmate! <3 And of course we can't forget Miss Molly....she really has made our lives that much more enjoyable!
