So it has been a really long week. Work was so long and just never seemed to end, and then I came home and did housework, which also seemed to never end. UGH
This weekend was not too bad. Went and visited with friends on Friday night, had a few drinks and for the most part a good time, until all us girls were so tired and wanted to call it a night but the boys weren't ready to end it, eventually the night ended at 1:00am. Saturday I went to mother-in-law's house to decorate and set up for my sister-in-law's Bridal Shower which I was hosting along with our cousin who is one of the other bridesmaids. It turned out really great and we had a pretty good turnout and she got some great gifts. It sure makes for a long day though, setting up from 10:00am to 12:30, shower from 1:00 to 4:00 and then clean up until 5:30. A very long day but nice day. Sunday...we did NOTHING. It was nice.
WE NEED A VACATION.........so we are seriously looking at booking a trip to Vegas from June 18 - 24. If we don't go in June we wouldn't be able to go until middle of September and then the weather isn't nearly as nice. We found some cheap flights, $340 for both of us round trip from Great Falls, a really great deal. The only thing that is a necessity to go is to get Josh's passport renewed. (yes I know, you are thinking why did he leave it so late. I don't know, you would need to ask him) So he is making a day trip to Calgary tomorrow, paying the $10 extra to have it done in 10 business days and then making another trip up there to get it. So I guess we will have to see how it all works out.
In the mean time I would love for the weather to smarten up....so Mother Nature, if you are listening, I have things that I want to get done outside, please warm up. Thank you!!

Our 2010 May Long
They said the weather was supposed to be awful...but it turned out not that bad, all things considerd. Not really any rain, just a bit windy and cool. But I can deal with that, although I was really hoping to do some suntanning. Maybe next weekend.
Most of my weekend was spent cleaning the house and working in the yard. We have plans to redo our entire back garden (the soil in there is terrible) and so I dug out all the plants that I want to save and potted them in temporary planters in our front yard so Molly doesn't destroy them. We will also be enclosing under our deck which is right next to the garden in the hopes that she doesn't run right through the garden anymore and trample all my pretty plants. I also bought some pretty plants for my front pots, just to add some color to the front of the house.
Saturday evening we went 5 pin bowling with Josh's sister Sarah and her fiance Mike. Super Fun!! I haven't been 5 pin bowling in probably 10 years. Want to know what I found out......I really suck at 5 pin bowling hahahaha I definitely don't have a career as a professional bowler. Oh well. Then we went to their house and played board games. It really is nice to do something different every now and then. Keeps the boredom away.
On Sunday night we went for dinner at Josh's parents house and then we went to the new movie Robin Hood with some friends of ours and I thought it was pretty good, not the exact storyline that I thought it would be. It was actually about how Robin Hood and his Merry Men came to be. I enjoyed it anyways. We got home from the movie about 12:30am, we played with Molly for a bit and then went to bed. Not even 15 minutes after we went to bed we heard Molly whining and moving around in her kennel. She had gotten sick....pooping and puking...EVERYWHERE....OMG did it ever smell bad :( She got put outside and her kennel went out front to be hosed off. We were up until 4:00 cleaning her, her kennel and the kitchen. Not my idea of a good end to a night. Needless to say we slept in very late the next morning, good thing it was a long weekend!! :)
This week is going to be a very busy week for me. I have planning that I need to do for Sarah's Bridal Shower which is this Saturday. I need to wrap her gift too, just realized that. Julie's Bridal Shower invitations need to be finished and mailed out. And of course my forever expanding To Do list. Oh and since my dishwasher is still not fixed I am constantly washing dishes by hand, sure makes you thankful for technology.
I am really hoping that things fall into place this week and weekend, it would really take the stress off. I guess I will have to wait and see.
P.S. Sorry I don't really have any pictures from this weekend, just didn't ever have the camera handy.

Here fishy fishy...
We went fishing on Sunday at Park Lake and it was so beautiful out!! I'm loving this warm weather! Josh was really hoping to catch some fish for supper but unfortunately he wasn't that lucky. He hasn't had any luck this year and he has been out fishing 3 or 4 times already. I really want my supper hehe ;)
Molly was just having a blast, she was in and out of the water and then rolling around on the grass....she was having a great time! We totally forgot to bring a towel so we had to get her mostly dried off in the sun before she could go in the car to go home.
Then because we weren't having any luck at Park Lake we decided to go to Nicholas Sheran Lake (we have caught fish there before) and give to a go there. The day just got warmer and nicer as it went on! (I think summer might be on its way, although I might jinx it for May Long if I say that)
I soaked up LOTS of sun (maybe too much judging by the fact that I am now a lobster)!
Molly was trying to help Josh fish, not a very good helper when after I took this shot she jumped in the lake and scared all the fish away :( Oh well, this picture is worth it!!!
So this is the price I paid for our wonderful day at the lake(s) and for soaking up the sun with Molly. I think next time I am going to bring sunscreen!! :)
Here's hoping for another beautiful weekend this May Long!!

so close...
It has seriously been 2 and a half years in the making….the day when the garage will finally be done. IT IS SOOOOO CLOSE…I can taste it.
This is where we are at: the walls have been painted, the ceiling has been textured, the lights are all up and working, all the plugs and switches are wired, the garage door opener is installed and working, most of the shelves are up, peg board has been installed and a track system for all our cords, hoses and accessories is up and working. The only real major things left to do is paint the floor, install the rubber baseboards and move in all our things. YEAH I can hardly wait!!!
I also finished another layout in the past week. Our first anniversary which was almost 2 years ago. We had a fabulous time in Radium and at the hot springs. I would love to go again someday.
(totally could not get this picture to insert the right way, oh well this will have to do)
Journalling says: For our 1st anniversary we decided we needed to get away. Neither of us had been to a hot spring since we were children so we thought it would be fun to drive into the mountains and soak our cares away! We decided upon Radium Hot Spring just inside of Kootenay National Park in BC. On our actual anniversary we took a long drive through Kootenay National Park and stopped at all the roadside lookouts, rivers and lakes. Such stunning beauty! Later that evening we went for dinner and then to the hot springs. We had so much fun, so nice to relax and we got lots of cute pictures using our underwater camera case. We had a wonderful first anniversary! We can't wait to celebrate lots more wedding anniversaries in the future!
I was really wanting to use the kraft paper that I had in my stash and I thought that because all the pictures were outdoor pictures it would work really well together. Oh and I love this green patterned paper that I used! I just love all those colors you can find in nature. Just makes everything so fresh! Thanks for looking!

{ kiss the girl }
This is my new layout! I finished this yesterday for National Scrapbooking Day. This is not something that I would normally do...use three different patterned papers on the same page...I was really stretching myself here. But I LOVE how it turned out. It helps that these papers come pre-coordinated! This picture was one of the ones taken when we took photos of the kids for mom and dad's christmas present last year.
Journaling says: Sunday August 9, 2009 - Me, Josh, Jocelyn & Justin got together to take photos of all of us so we could put nice photos together for a Christmas present to our parents. We had so much fun finding new places to take photos and we all looked great! Professional looking photos for free makes me happy!
I'm really on a roll here so I hope to keep it up and have lots to show everyone in the future! Oh, I also finished our Mother's Day Cards today, but of course I'm not going to put pictures up because our moms would see them and spoil the surprise!
