Snow, Christmas Lights, An Engagement and Home Renovations!!!

Well it certainly feels like winter lately! So much snow and no chinooks to be had :( Today wasn't too bad cold wise, definately not like last week and our -40 with the wind chill.  We did get a fair amount of fresh fluffy snow today though, about 4 inches!

Molly is just loving the snow! I was watching her from the kitchen today and she was licking the snow off of the deck and trying to bite the snowflakes as they were falling!! So cute and so funny to watch. She always comes back in the house with snow covering her nose! :)

After playing outside she almost always comes back inside to curl up on the couch or the bench and have a nap. She felt so wet and cold when she came in yesterday so I covered her with a blanket and she slept like this for over an hour! I just love this dog sooo much <3

Josh finished putting up our Christmas lights yesterday. I just love this time of year because of the Christmas lights and music! I just can't wait for our whole family to be together again to celebrate the holidays! And to celebrate something even better.....MY SISTER JUST GOT ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!! Love her soooo much and I totally love her fiance too, he's wonderful!! Ahhhhhh so much excitement and so much to plan!!! Yea can't wait to get started!

So todays project has been on my list for a very long time. I have always felt that there was just not enough room in our closet. We that was easy enough to fix. I went to Totem and bought another closet shelf for my wonderful hubby to install!  This is what our closet looked like before....not nearly enough space, lots of unused space and disorganized.

Haha notice how you can't see any of hubby's clothes...well they are hiding behind the rest of mine on the left.  In addition to all the clothes hanging we had one basket of clean clothes and two baskets of dirty clothes!

So I cleaned out all our clothes to give us space to work.

And I piled the clothes on the spare bed. 4 of the 5 piles of clothes are mine. I make the excuse that I have to have work clothes and everyday clothes too! I think it works!!! :)

The whole installation only took about 40 minutes. And for a needed update I'd say that's pretty good!

And here is the finished product!!! I LOVE IT!!!! And yes, I did in fact organize my clothes by color!! :) It makes me happy. Seriously can't believe what a difference this makes, and I can actually remove my clothes when I want and they are not shoved in so tightly that they are wrinkling. And now I actually have room to put some of my purses and shoes which frees up some space in the hall closet!

Now we have room for towels and sheets, which considering we don't have a linen closet is very important!

What a great weekend!! We got some wonderful news and we got a lot done. We even got a fair bit of our Christmas shopping done. And for once Josh is done shopping before I am.  I better get on that! :)

Halloween Bash & Scrapbooking

Our Halloween party was so much fun this year!! We did a whole bunch of decorating again and Josh once again carved some wonderful pumpkins! (He is so good at that! And many other things) It is just too bad that we didn't have 2 more guests :( It just isn't the same without you 2 here!

Everyone’s costumes were so great, there were transformers, a French maid, a cowgirl, a rock star and a groupie, a fairy, a redneck, two hunters and of course us, we were dressed as Vikings.

We probably had about 75 kids come trick-or-treating on Sunday night, we still have some candy left but it is disappearing fast hehehe!! All in all a good weekend! :)

I have also done more scrapbooking!! Yeah for me! I actually feel like I am accomplishing something, that means that I am this much closer to finishing my first scrapbook! These are the pages from when we were at Stingray City Sandbar in Grand Cayman!

When we pulled up to Stingray City Sandbar on the Buccaneer
we could see a half a dozen other boats and at least 100 people
all standing waist deep in the stunning crystal clear blue waters.
We could clearly see the stingrays swimming around, darting
between people’s legs! Being in the water with those incredible
creatures is something to remember! Their skin was so soft
and how they had adapted to being around people and being
picked up was definitely something else. One day we will
go back to visit our stingray friends!

These are the pictures from our last night on the cruise! Our last supper and we had some proffessional photos taken! These are some of my favorite photos of the 3 of us!!

Smiling faces! So happy to gather together for one last wonderful supper after enjoying another amazingday in the sun and surrounded by lots of water! 09/09/05

Well that is all for now. I desperately need some sleep after what felt like only 30 seconds of sleep last night before my alarm rang this morning. Good Night!

Days until the end of my 101 things in 1001 days!
