S is for Scrapbooking

I SCRAPBOOKED!!!!

I had gone out and bought all this exciting stuff from my birthday money and I wasn't going to just let it and all my other stuff sit around any longer....and I have really been wanting to finish our Vacation 2005 album.  When I was thinking of doing these Mexico pages I was looking through all my paper and I thought that the reds and browns would be perfect for it! I really love how it turned out!! Simple yet fun!

Journalling at the bottom of the first page says: 10am tequila + shopping + cigars + local food and music = awesome day!

And I have been working on another 'project' but since that project is a secret I am only going to share one picture and it really doesn't give anything away!! This is all you get!

I'm hoping to get some more scrapbooking done this long weekend, I only have 3 more pages to finish this album! Hopefully I can get that all done so I can start on my next album! :) YAY for long weekends!

Champagne and Cupcakes!

Our Valentine's Day this year we decided would be very laid back....no cards....no gifts....and no going out for supper! If we are going to spend money on something we will spend it on our next Caribbean vacation!

Since Valentines Day was on a Monday this year, I had Pilates class to go to. So me and Josh met up at Sarah and Mike's house for supper....very yummy salmon and rice! Then me and Sarah went to Pilates. It was a really great class, I've been enjoying this whole process! After Pilates I made my way home to see my wonderful hubby! We ate the cupcakes that I had gotten at Edible Elegance (omg so delicious!) and drank an entire bottle of champagne! And of course took some photos! :) All in all a great Valentines Day and it didn't cost very much at all!

This man is definately my sweetheart and soulmate! <3 And of course we can't forget Miss Molly....she really has made our lives that much more enjoyable!

Basement Renos

The day after my birthday we started working on the basement (good thing I wasn’t hung over haha) We received all of the building permits the week before and we had bought all the lumber already! I’m so happy that this major project has been started and that if we keep up the pace that we have been we should have this basement complete sometime this summer!! YAY

Molly was having lots of fun watching us and I think she might be a little too curious....she was walking right up to the saw and sniffing everyting, she isn't even afraid of the loud noises! I might have to keep a close eye on her to make sure she doesn't get into any trouble!

I’m so happy that me and Josh work so well together on these big building projects! Really there’s no reason for us not to because we are so in tune with each other and love each other so much (and we are both so talented haha)! We spent Saturday and Sunday of my birthday weekend and then Saturday and Sunday of the next weekend working in the basement and we are 90% done the framing!!! Just have one wall to frame in the laundry room (we should be able to tackle that this long weekend that is coming up) and then we are done and can start on the electrical! (I’m also so happy that I have such a handy husband! There is no way we could do this reno if we had to pay someone to do all the labor for us)

Photo #7 of 52 taken while we were working away in the basement! Love this man! <3

27

I turned 27 less than 2 weeks ago, and unfortunately I do feel just that little bit older :( I have noticed that it takes my body just a bit longer to feel better after being sick and to recover after a good workout. But I think I’m okay with that because getting older means that I get to enjoy lots of other things and have lots of things to look forward to in the next year!

For my birthday we went bowling and had pizza and drinks. It was so much fun and so nice to do something that we haven’t done in forever. I really do suck at bowling but that’s okay because it is way more fun to suck and have fun :)

Here is photo 6 of 52!

I got cash and gift cards for my birthday and I went to Michaels and Scrapbooker’s and got a ton of things! I’m so excited to use all this new stuff!! (and I am going to use this stuff soon, because I haven’t been spending nearly enough time scrapbooking)

Homemade pizza is the best!!

We have been craving pizza and we decided that on grocery night (yesterday) we would pick up all the items needed to make our own pizza!

My half of the pizza had tomato sauce, pepperoni, cheese, more pepperoni, more cheese and bacon bits! Josh's side was a lot more creative, in addition to the tomato sauce, cheese and pepperoni he had mushrooms, yellow peppers and onions.

MMMMMM look how good that pizza looks! And it really tasted that good too! :) This is definately something that we will continue doing! Now I want to try a hawaiian and a BBQ chicken.  I will let you know how those ones turn out!

We almost went to a movie….

Saturday night we were going to see ‘The Rite’ at Galaxy with Sarah and Mike. It’s this new exorcism movie that’s out and supposed to be really good. Mike had picked up all of our tickets early so we wouldn’t have to wait in line. So we went to the theater, got our yummy popcorn and a drink and we found ourselves some good seats. We were early and so by the time the previews had started I needed to get a refill on our popcorn (please don’t judge, it’s really good popcorn hehe) so I was just having one of the people fill the bag with more popcorn when the manager came out and yelled out that they had an emergency and that everyone would have to stop what they were doing and leave the building. There was no way I was going outside without my jacket so I went to go back to the theater we were in and the guy didn’t want to let me go back, I told him that I needed my jacket and purse so I was going. Then the fire alarm started going off and all the doors closed automatically. I finally made it back into the theater and everyone was just sitting there (except Josh, he was telling everyone that it was the fire alarm and everyone needs to leave but no one wanted to listen to him.) Then one of the employees came in and explained that everyone had to leave so that’s when everyone got up (boy oh boy some of these people wouldn’t do very well in a really big emergency) As we were leaving the firefighters were coming in wearing their full gear and gas masks and respirators. We were all ushered outside and there were about 8 fire trucks and ambulances. We stuck around for 20 minutes to see what was happening but decided it was too cold and that we would come back later to get our free vouchers for a movie. At least we got an interesting #5 of 52 photo out of the deal!

Oh and we spent more time in the basement cleaning and figuring out where we were going to be building walls. We got our building permits today and we are going to get a load of lumber on Friday! Building starts on Saturday!! YAY for progress! :)

Oh I'm going to be the big 27 on Friday!!! Crazy how time flies....I thought for sure I would have at least one kid by now, maybe two. That will come soon enought I'm sure, in the mean time I am enjoying my wonderful life!

Days until the end of my 101 things in 1001 days!
