I just have not seemed to have any time to blog lately.
Between working in the basement, trying to keep the house clean, organizing and getting Josh ready for his final intereviews, visiting Josh's Grandpa in the hospital in Calgary and then constantly worrying every time the phone rings :( , with Jocelyn and Jared home this week and all the visiting and wedding planning that comes with that and being sick for what seems like the past 3 or 4 weeks I just have not had any time to blog. :(
Maybe this weekend, here's hoping that I get a chance to upload all those photos on my camera and write down my thoughts.

S is for Scrapbooking
I SCRAPBOOKED!!!!
I had gone out and bought all this exciting stuff from my birthday money and I wasn't going to just let it and all my other stuff sit around any longer....and I have really been wanting to finish our Vacation 2005 album. When I was thinking of doing these Mexico pages I was looking through all my paper and I thought that the reds and browns would be perfect for it! I really love how it turned out!! Simple yet fun!
Journalling at the bottom of the first page says: 10am tequila + shopping + cigars + local food and music = awesome day!
And I have been working on another 'project' but since that project is a secret I am only going to share one picture and it really doesn't give anything away!! This is all you get!
I'm hoping to get some more scrapbooking done this long weekend, I only have 3 more pages to finish this album! Hopefully I can get that all done so I can start on my next album! :) YAY for long weekends!

Champagne and Cupcakes!
Our Valentine's Day this year we decided would be very laid back....no cards....no gifts....and no going out for supper! If we are going to spend money on something we will spend it on our next Caribbean vacation!
Since Valentines Day was on a Monday this year, I had Pilates class to go to. So me and Josh met up at Sarah and Mike's house for supper....very yummy salmon and rice! Then me and Sarah went to Pilates. It was a really great class, I've been enjoying this whole process! After Pilates I made my way home to see my wonderful hubby! We ate the cupcakes that I had gotten at Edible Elegance (omg so delicious!) and drank an entire bottle of champagne! And of course took some photos! :) All in all a great Valentines Day and it didn't cost very much at all!
This man is definately my sweetheart and soulmate! <3 And of course we can't forget Miss Molly....she really has made our lives that much more enjoyable!

Basement Renos
The day after my birthday we started working on the basement (good thing I wasn’t hung over haha) We received all of the building permits the week before and we had bought all the lumber already! I’m so happy that this major project has been started and that if we keep up the pace that we have been we should have this basement complete sometime this summer!! YAY
Molly was having lots of fun watching us and I think she might be a little too curious....she was walking right up to the saw and sniffing everyting, she isn't even afraid of the loud noises! I might have to keep a close eye on her to make sure she doesn't get into any trouble!
I’m so happy that me and Josh work so well together on these big building projects! Really there’s no reason for us not to because we are so in tune with each other and love each other so much (and we are both so talented haha)! We spent Saturday and Sunday of my birthday weekend and then Saturday and Sunday of the next weekend working in the basement and we are 90% done the framing!!! Just have one wall to frame in the laundry room (we should be able to tackle that this long weekend that is coming up) and then we are done and can start on the electrical! (I’m also so happy that I have such a handy husband! There is no way we could do this reno if we had to pay someone to do all the labor for us)
Photo #7 of 52 taken while we were working away in the basement! Love this man! <3

27
I turned 27 less than 2 weeks ago, and unfortunately I do feel just that little bit older :( I have noticed that it takes my body just a bit longer to feel better after being sick and to recover after a good workout. But I think I’m okay with that because getting older means that I get to enjoy lots of other things and have lots of things to look forward to in the next year!
For my birthday we went bowling and had pizza and drinks. It was so much fun and so nice to do something that we haven’t done in forever. I really do suck at bowling but that’s okay because it is way more fun to suck and have fun :)

Here is photo 6 of 52!
I got cash and gift cards for my birthday and I went to Michaels and Scrapbooker’s and got a ton of things! I’m so excited to use all this new stuff!! (and I am going to use this stuff soon, because I haven’t been spending nearly enough time scrapbooking)

Homemade pizza is the best!!
We have been craving pizza and we decided that on grocery night (yesterday) we would pick up all the items needed to make our own pizza!
My half of the pizza had tomato sauce, pepperoni, cheese, more pepperoni, more cheese and bacon bits! Josh's side was a lot more creative, in addition to the tomato sauce, cheese and pepperoni he had mushrooms, yellow peppers and onions.

MMMMMM look how good that pizza looks! And it really tasted that good too! :) This is definately something that we will continue doing! Now I want to try a hawaiian and a BBQ chicken. I will let you know how those ones turn out!

We almost went to a movie….
Saturday night we were going to see ‘The Rite’ at Galaxy with Sarah and Mike. It’s this new exorcism movie that’s out and supposed to be really good. Mike had picked up all of our tickets early so we wouldn’t have to wait in line. So we went to the theater, got our yummy popcorn and a drink and we found ourselves some good seats. We were early and so by the time the previews had started I needed to get a refill on our popcorn (please don’t judge, it’s really good popcorn hehe) so I was just having one of the people fill the bag with more popcorn when the manager came out and yelled out that they had an emergency and that everyone would have to stop what they were doing and leave the building. There was no way I was going outside without my jacket so I went to go back to the theater we were in and the guy didn’t want to let me go back, I told him that I needed my jacket and purse so I was going. Then the fire alarm started going off and all the doors closed automatically. I finally made it back into the theater and everyone was just sitting there (except Josh, he was telling everyone that it was the fire alarm and everyone needs to leave but no one wanted to listen to him.) Then one of the employees came in and explained that everyone had to leave so that’s when everyone got up (boy oh boy some of these people wouldn’t do very well in a really big emergency) As we were leaving the firefighters were coming in wearing their full gear and gas masks and respirators. We were all ushered outside and there were about 8 fire trucks and ambulances. We stuck around for 20 minutes to see what was happening but decided it was too cold and that we would come back later to get our free vouchers for a movie. At least we got an interesting #5 of 52 photo out of the deal!
Oh and we spent more time in the basement cleaning and figuring out where we were going to be building walls. We got our building permits today and we are going to get a load of lumber on Friday! Building starts on Saturday!! YAY for progress! :)
Oh I'm going to be the big 27 on Friday!!! Crazy how time flies....I thought for sure I would have at least one kid by now, maybe two. That will come soon enought I'm sure, in the mean time I am enjoying my wonderful life!

Another night of Pilates!
Well tonight I'm off to Pilates again! I'm really enjoying this class! It has opened my eyes to another form of exercise, one which I think is just as important if not more than cardio, if your body isn't stretched out and isn't very strong in its core then all kinds of things can be out of whack. Now if only I didn't have to go outside in my yoga pants, it is just wayyy to cold outside, I want to be cuddled up on the couch inside my nice warm house :)
I should be able to get another post up tonight if I get a chance to upload some pictures, if not then tomorrow!

Our 4th picture of our 52 picture project!!
We went out for supper and drinks to Shark Club with our friends Julie, Amanda and Lincoln (we missed Justin, but unfortunately he had to work) on Friday night. We had such a good time with them, really I don’t think there is ever a time when we all get together and we don’t have a good time :) But we definitely felt very old…we got there by 7:00 for supper and by the time 10:00 had rolled around we were running low on steam and on money so we decided to call it a night.
The rest of the weekend was spent in the basement and the garage getting lots of stuff organized, tossing out the trash and putting stuff where it belongs. We also have a huge pile of stuff that needs to be returned to the rightful owners (as in we are no longer storing stuff for other people) Josh went to the Town Office today to get a development permit and a building permit so we can start framing walls and wiring lights and plugs down there!! Super excited because this means that we are this much closer to listing and selling our house and moving back into Lethbridge!! YAY!!!! I am going to take some photos this week to document our progress!

Pilates kicked my butt!!
I am so sore in so many places! But it is a good sore. I didn’t think that I would be this bad but I guess I am. Pilates kicked my butt!! :) My toes, my calves, my hamstrings, my butt, my tummy, my shoulders and my arms are all yelling at me today but its okay because I know that when I’m done this class I’m going to be soooo much better off! Can’t wait :) Since it was a little tough on me I’m going to try to do a few things this week and weekend before my next class. I’m going to:
Practice my abdominal breathing
Practice my bridge
Practice my side bridge and leg lifts
I’m going to drink way more water
And I’m going to do lots of stretching to try and loosen up my muscles (especially my hamstrings)
Hopefully by this time next week I won’t be near as sore!!

So many wonderful things going on!
Some good things have happened since my last post!!
Josh got a call last week saying that he passed his interview and that he will be going on to the next step!! We are seriously so excited :) He is booked for his psychological evaluation today and then some time after that is the lie detector test, a home visit, a meeting with the psychologist and a full physical!! It is so real and so close right now that we are just overjoyed!! Can't wait for the final results and hopefully in a couple of months he will be starting the training!
I've been spending a lot of time cleaning and doing laundry lately, it just never seems to end!! But I know that the house needs to be clean so that when they call and say they want to do a home visit then I don't have to scramble to get things clean and ready. It seems that the house is always the worst after holidays. But I guess I will keep on going, then I can reward myself with some more scrapbooking time! I have spent some time, just have no photos to share because the project is a secret! hehe
My cell phone plan is up now and I desperately needed a new phone!! I had to charge my phone every night after work because it doesn't hold a charge anymore!! So I decided to go out on a limb and get the coolest phone I can get instead of my usual boring phones that only make calls and send texts. I got an iPhone 4!! So excited for when it comes in, can't wait to play with all the features!!
This past Saturday I spent a couple hours getting ready and then me and mom met Kinsey Holt down in the riverbottom to take some bridal photos!! She wanted to get one bridal shoot done and I've always wanted to do a 'trash the dress'/'high fashion' photo shoot of me in my dress!!! And since I can actually fit into my dress now, not like a year ago I said I would love to do it!! My oh my was it ever cold thought!! -20 outside, and with a little bit of a wind chill!! I could barely feel my fingers and elbows after the photo shoot but it was totally worth it :) Here is one picture that she had finished with, just to give us a sneak peek, and here is one of the pictures that my mom took while Kinsey was shooting too. I know that there are going to be so many more photos that are amazing! I just can't thank her enough for doing this for me! And on the plus side it crosses one more thing off of my 101 in 1001 list - have professional photos taken.

Even though this doesn't look like a self portrait....it is, we had Sarah hold the camera but this new camera has a 2 person self portrait timer feature where it doesn't take the picture until it is looking at 2 people!
I need to be more creative, but the last photo was an after thought as we were getting into bed! Oh well, next week I guess!
That's all for now :)

Progress!
Well it is 6 days into the new year and I think I'm doing pretty good on my resolutions already!! Yesterday I booked myself into a Full Body Pilates class at the college! I'm so super excited for this class. The description says that I should notice a difference in toning, my core body should be stronger and smaller and my flexibility should improve!!! YAY YAY YAY Because this is my flexibility right now....basically non existant. I think I might be the least flexible person on this planet haha, this is seriously as far as I can go!!
Josh had his big interview yesterday!! OMG I was so nervous and I wasn't even the one going to the interview haha. I know that we had prepared so much for this so both of us were confident that he would do well! When it was all done he stopped by my work and he was all smiles. He said there wasn't a question he couldn't answer and he felt very at ease and very confident through the whole thing. The recruiting officer even said that he did really well! Now it will be hopefully only a couple of days before we know how he did!! Fingers crossed :)
Lots of good things to look forward too!! Can't wait! :)
I've worked out 4 times since the start of the year and this Saturday is our last weigh in at Jenny Craig (so so happy that this is coming to a close!) Also I have be trying to watch what I'm eating, trying less carbs, although sometimes I just get a craving and it won't go away until I satisfy it. Oh well, I can't totally deprive myself all the time, can I? ;)
I've spent more time with Jossy working on wedding stuff and we seem to have everything under control. Although she leaves tomorrow and so I think that while she is gone it might get a bit crazy! We will have to see!
I have a huge pile of our clothes and shoes that are getting donated to Catholic Charities this weekend! A big pile went to my mom so she has something 'new' to wear. And I have a whole bunch more which I'm going to try to sell! Maybe pad our bank account a little bit!
I have yet to scrapbook this week, but I'm hoping to get time tonight to do that, or possibly tomorrow night depending on how things go. I have a couple cards that I need to make and I have a page in mind for my secret project!
Lots of good things to look forward too!! Can't wait! :)
